Who is Metro III?

Metro III is made up of 50 worship leaders from around the United States who serve churches that run between 500 and 1,000 in worship. This is a group who serve in the trenches week after week in all kinds of music and worship ministries. We have folks that are just starting out as well as seasoned veterans – all sharing ideas and lessons learned in ministry situations. The group also benefits from regular correspondence through a dedicated email group during the year.

The Conference

What we will do

The group meets together once per year at a location determined by the group. During this meeting, the group discusses the many facets of music and worship ministry in the 21st Century. We take time to listen to each other and learn from each other. We also have incredible industry insiders that come to discuss and preview new materials and products.

About Metro III

The Metro Conference is a conference like no other. At Metro, we gather with 50 Ministers of Music/Worship Leaders from churches of like size and faith. We come together to discuss ideas for ministry, plans, dreams, techniques, and issues that drive our ministries. The direction that the conference takes each year is completely dependent upon the attendees – we set and maintain the agenda. Metro III participants are from churches who have a weekly worship attendance of 500 – 1,000 people. Because of this, we face similar challenges and ministry issues. Metro III attendees also have the opportunity to communicate throughout the year through a dedicated email network.

Metro III in North Carolina is coming on February 19-22, 2024

what does Metro III mean to me?

I’ve been coming to Metro III since 2012. Having only been in full-time worship ministry for 5 years, I cherish the opportunity to glean wisdom from guys that are not only sharing the same life stage as me, but also from men that have been doing this for as long as I’ve been alive!

In 1998, a group of Music Ministers from across the country gathered at FBC Woodstock for a time of of sharing ideas, fellowship and praying for each other. The group was named Metro III. What a great time that I experienced at that event. Since that event, I have had the joy of being a part of every Metro III
